David Templeton is represented in private collections in 27 countries
David Templeton was born in 1947 in Nottinghamshire, England. He studied at Leeds College of Art between the years of 1967 to 1970. Templeton then became a Professor of Art and taught in Cambridge (England) he left the UK in the late 1970’s to travel around Europe.
Inspired by masters such as, Michelangelo, Raphael and Boticelli ,Templeton studied figurative painting for many years. He is still drawn more to working in pastel and pencil and is currently teaching privately at his studio in Deià.
A great deal of his work remains inspired by impressionists Lautrec , Van Gogh and Cézanne as well as 20th Century masters Matisse, Picasso and Schiele.
David Templeton has lived in Deia Mallorca since 1978 he has exhibited exclusively throughout Europe and is represented in private collections in 27 countries.
